The school we are swapping Flat Stanley's with has a website, what similarities and differences do you notice?

  • Anti Bullying Week

We have had some very exciting things happening this week.
    1) Anti bullying drama workshop: where the children got to experience what it would be like to be bullied and as the bully.#
    2) Balloon launch today where we let off hundreds of blue balloons in support of anti bullying
    3) Non-uniform day tomorrow where the children will wear BLUE in support of anti bullying
4)The children have bought keyrings with the anti bullying motto, see it, get help, stop it on

Don't forget the anti bullying poster and poem competition!

See you all in blue tomorrow!

    Thank you
A big thank you to my class for their good behaviour, nice manners and attitude today and yesterday when our special OFSTED visitors were here. I want this to continue so we can have a super run up to Christmas.

Remember we have anti bullying week non-uniform on Friday (wear blue!!!) there is no charge for non-uniform day but we are selling anti bullying week balloons for £1.50 to release on Thursday.

You can buy the landyards (anti bullying keyrings) for 80p in school.

In maths today the children calculated the number of hours they watched TV last night, then added it up as a table, if we had done it for the class it would have been greater then 4 and a half days!!! I couldn't believe the amount of time some of you spend watching TV.
Have a good night, try not to watch as much TV as last night! Talk to your family, read a book, play a board game, learn your spellings, write a story, paint a picture or read the blog!

    See you in the morning
    Miss P :zz:

Only 2 on the steps today, lets hope we can keep it like that or less!
    Well Done!

Don't forget if you want to come to the Children in Need disco tomorrow, it is only £2, year 5 and 6 at 4.45pm to 5.45pm.

    See you there!

  • After parents evening

    Lovely evening
Thank you to everyone who turned up at parents evening, it was really good to meet all the parents I haven't met before, a successful night with lots of positive comments on books, work and the blog!!!
In the morning I am working with Mrs Hulme on Maths challenges, some of you will get the opportunity to work with us and help decide what you would like to do. You will be having gymn astics with the apparatus, literacy and numeracy with Mrs Mazurek and then back to me in the afternoon for RE and speaking and listening.

Have your best speaking voices ready for reading your play scripts! I am expecting lots of voice changes and good expression!

Thank you Alex for leaving us a new website to use for our times tables, as you know it is our target for this half term!

PS - I needed the fruit bar Alex, it got very cold in our classroom and I didn't leave till 8.15pm!

    Sponsored Sport Event!
Congratulations to everyone who has brought in sponsor forms, we raised approximately £600! The children had a brilliant time with Mr Brady and were well and truly worn out afterwards!

We have started our art topic today, we are going to be making containers using the Hindu festival of Divali as our inspiration.
Well done to James who was awarded this week's merit. I was very pleased with this week's first spelling test, 10 children with super speller certificates! Well done!

On Monday it is parents evenign, you should have your times by now, I tried to give when parents asked, but about 70% asked for between 3.30 and 4.30, so some are a different day!

I look forward to seeing you on Monday
    P.S. Hi to Jamies's grandma!

  • First day back!

Lets hope this good behaviour, super hard work continues!
    See you all tomorrow!
